Carrie Gerlach Cecil inspires women [and men] to transform their hearts and live their lives on purpose. She does this by creating literary, television, film and online content that move her audiences to laugh, reflect, respond and feel accepted. A sample of her works include: ONE SUNDAY, [Simon and Schuster's Howard Books February 2013], Cecil’s second novel has recieved critical praise and the national spotlight. Her non-fiction work, Goodness, Gridiron & Grace: A Modern Day Girl’s Game Plan For A Godly Life, is being penned for 2014. Her first novel Emily’s Reasons Why Not [Harper Collins] was named one of US Magazine’s Summer Hot Book Picks. The novel was adapted into a single camera comedy for ABC starring Heather Graham. Cecil served as a producer on the show. She and her daughter, Charli created the children’s book, Charli & Wilbur, A Dancing Dogs Dream to inspire young people everywhere to follow their passions. Carrie contributed as an author to The New York Times Editor Richard Sandomir’s book, The Enlightened Bracketologist: The Final Four of Everything.

Carrie has written a number of projects for the screen including her latest television drama In The Huddle, based on her blogs, Gridiron Woman that was optioned by Lifetime Television [2012]. She is attached to create and write the pilot. Her reality show Soul+Sisters [2013} is in development with Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment. She is an executive producer and on-screen talent on the show. Cecil has also written the feature films Sweet Revenge, [2010/Broken Road Productions] and 5th Avenue Bum, [2005/Laurence Bender Productions]. Cecil has penned articles for Y’ALL: The Art of Southern Living magazine; Composed her weekly column Notes from Lot S: A Football Wife for the sports section of The TENNESSEAN newspaper. She served as blogger for the NFL’s Tennessee Titans website, Titansonline.com and NFLWives.com as well as crafting pieces for the NFL. Additionally, Carrie Gerlach Cecil is the founder and president of Anachel Communications, Inc., a sports, entertainment and Fortune 500 media strategy firm that creates and implements both internal and external public relations, branding and crisis management strategies to positively impact corporate image and stimulate revenue growth. Through her company she advises presidents and CEOs of entities and corporations such as NASCAR, FOX Sports Net, JMI Sports LLC, Universal Television, The Tennis Channel, The Pac-12 Conference, AVP ProVolleyball, Charter Communications, Columbia Tri-Star, Sony Pictures, Sony Corporate America, Game Show Network and MGM Television and Domestic Films.  An in-demand speech writer, executive and corporate image coach, Cecil confidentially advises high-profile executives, personalities and professional athletes on how to preemptively control and maneuver media issues that can and will impact their businesses.

Previously, Cecil was the president of CGPR Media Strategy, handling public relations as well as government and community affairs for networks and feature films. In that experience she traveled the globe working on-set and side-by side with Hollywood’s leading producers, directors and actors on films including Gang Related, Air Force One, A Thousand Acres, The Newton Boys, Return to Paradise, End of Days, and Dogma, among others.

Before going out on her own, Cecil was director of entertainment publicity, West Coast for Turner Network Television (TNT), based in Los Angeles. She began her tenure with Turner Entertainment Group in New York as manager of East Coast public relations and was part of the team that launched Turner Classic Movies. She began her career in public relations in the television department of Rogers & Cowan Public Relations, Inc., and as an intern with The Honorable Senator John McCain in Phoenix, Arizona.

Cecil and her husband, NCAA College Football Hall of Fame player, former Pro Bowl Safety, former Tennessee Titans Defensive Coordinator and current St. Louis Rams Defensive Backs’ coach, Chuck Cecil, believe that God has blessed their lives in many ways and are dedicated to giving back both financially and with their time.  The college sweethearts are avid philanthropists working with several charities that are close to their heart. Carrie is on the board of The MISS Foundation, a global organization dedicated to hope, community and compassion for grieving parents everywhere from pre-natal to infant, toddler, young adult and adult loss. In addition, the Cecil’s host the Cecil Family Golden Hour Golf Classic for the UMC Level One Trauma Center in Tucson, Arizona and raise monies for The Nashville Rescue Mission in Nashville and Ordinary Hero and Ten Day Missions internationally.  The duo split their time between California, St. Louis and Tennessee, and has an eight-year-old daughter, Charli Alleene. http://www.carriegerlachcecil.com/
